New rotational casting laboratory starts up in Italy
The Urethanes business division of US specialty chemicals producer Chemtura (Middlebury, Connecticut; www.chemtura.com) in July commissioned the latest expansion at its site in Latina Scalo / Italy. Speaking to Plasteurope.com, a company spokesperson said the group successfully started up a new rotational casting laboratory at the site, where it had commissioned an expansion in “Adiprene” and “Vibrathane” polyurethane pre-polymer output in March – see Plasteurope.com of 26.03.2012.
The spokesman declined to comment on the exact investment of the new lab, adding merely that additional staff were hired as a result, although he would not disclose the exact number of new employees. He did say that the investment underlined the group’s ongoing support for its Urethanes business.
