Italian EPS association AIPE with new executive council
The newly elected Executive Council of the Italian Association of Expanded Polystyrene (AIPE, Milan; www.aipe.biz) has chosen Augusto Baruzzi as the association’s president for a two-year term. The marketing and sales manager for the building and thermo-acoustics businesses of Sive (Bernate Ticino / Italy; www.sivespa.it) held the office previously in 2001-2009. He succeeds Luca Zappelli of Sulpol (Borgo Trevi / Italy; www.sulpol.it), who was AIPE president for four years.

Serving as new vice presidents of AIPE are Luisa Lavagnigni (Versalis), Giovanni Raggi (Isolconfort) and Paolo Garbagna (Poliforce).

In 2014, Italian production of EPS foam ("Airpop") for construction and packaging applications declined by 4% to 116,000 t, AIPE reported (see Plasteurope.com of 17.04.2015).
