Hanoch Goldman appointed as EPSE's new president / Focus on 2015 awards and development of quality label

Belgium-based industry association European Polycarbonate Sheet Extruders (EPSE, Brussels; www.epse.org) has elected a new president following a unanimous vote at its general assembly on 3 March, 2015. Hanoch Goldman, vice president of marketing & sales at Palram (Ramat-Yohanan / Israel; www.palram.com) has succeeded Jean-Philippe Coste, managing director of DS Smith Plastics (London / UK; www.dssmith.com/plastics).
Speaking after his election, Goldman said: “In 2015 we will focus on the EPSE awards competition which will take place on 3 November at the Batimat Fair in Paris, and we will further develop the EPSE quality label.”
In addition, Matthew Williams, managing director of Polycasa (Geel / The Netherlands; www.polycasa.com), has become EPSE’s vice president and Michel van Acht, general manager of Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at Sabic Innovative Plastics Specialty Film & Sheet (S&FS, Bergen op Zoom / The Netherlands; www.sabic-ip.com) has become treasurer. All three appointments are for a two-year term, for the period 2015 to 2017.
The association also officially welcomed its new member, Koscon Industrial (Stabio / Switzerland; www.koscon.com). EPSE represents the 11 major European PC sheet producers manufacturing over 120,000 t/y, as well as three PC producers. The association has an annual turnover of more than EUR 500m.
