Petcore Europe (Brussels / Belgium; https://petcore-europe.org), the association representing the European PET value chain, has elected Lotte Chemical UK (Redcar / UK; www.lottechemical.co.uk) CEO Mark Kenrick as its new president. He takes over from Roberto Bertaggia, of Gruppo Mossi & Ghisolfi (M&G, Tortona / Italy; www.gruppomg.com), who chaired the association since its founding in 2013 (see Plasteurope.com of 26.06.2013).
Aside from serving as chief executive of the UK-based PET producer, Kenrick also acts as the treasurer of the Committee of PET Manufacturers in Europe (CPME, Brussels / Belgium; www.cpme-pet.org), itself a member of Petcore Europe.
Petcore also announced that another one of its board members, Stephen Short of Indorama (Bangkok / Thailand; www.indorama.net), stepped down as well and is being replaced by Carlos Molina of Compañía Española de Petróleos (Cepsa, Madrid / Spain; www.cepsa.com).
