Plastics Recyclers Europe annual meeting highlights quality recycling and sorting / “European Plastics Recycling Show” to make its debut in Brussels next year
Quality recycling and sorting were the main issues discussed at Plastics Recyclers Europe’s (PRE, Brussels / Belgium; www.plasticsrecyclers.eu) recent annual meeting in Brussels / Belgium. The two-day event, held on 20 and 21 November, drew some 200 participants from across the industry, and included a range of presentations by industry leaders such as Erema, Renolit, Hewlett & Packard as well as representatives of the European Commission and academia.
Speaking at the event, PRE president Ton Emans said 2015 will be “an important legislative year for unlocking the potential of plastics recycling,” adding that the “EU circular economy package will boost green jobs in Europe and stimulate innovation in the plastics industry.”
Amid these prospects, PRE will launch the first “European Plastics Recycling Show” in Brussels / Belgium next year. The event, which will be held on 25 and 26 November 2015, is expected to be “the primary event for plastics recyclers”, scheduled to bring together the entire value chain to highlight the potential of plastics recycling.
