Dirk Westerheide elected new president of German plastics converters association GKV

A delegate meeting of German plastics converters association Gesamtverband Kunststoffverarbeitende Industrie (GKV, Bad Homburg; www.gkv.de) on 3 June elected Dirk Westerheide as the association’s new president. He succeeds Bernd Kruse, who has held the office since 2010 and did not run for re-election.
A trained engineer and economist, Westerheide served as managing shareholder of packaging producer Stucki Kunststoffverarbeitung (Bad Salzuflen / Germany) from 1997-2001.
