The British Plastics Federation (BPF, London / UK; www.bpf.co.uk) is set to receive a whole new management line-up by mid-2014. On the heels of last year’s news that Philip Law will take over as new director general in July this year following Peter Davis’ retirement – see PIWEb of 17.10.2013. The BPF now announced that current finance and administration director Alan Davey will be replaced by Darren Muir. Formerly the finance director of consultant Upton McGougan, Muir will assume the post on 1 March 2014.
In other personnel news, BPF business development manager Stephen Hunt has been appointed membership services director effective 1 July. During his decade at the federation, Hunt led the BPF’s fair activity, while also working on membership growth.
Last but not least, Sarah Plant – who previously oversaw materials based issues – has been promoted to public and industry affairs manager, a role she will assume on 1 July.
