German compounder and distributor Albis Plastic (Hamburg; www.albis.com) has appointed Químicos & Plásticos (Q&P, São José dos Pinhais / Brazil; www.qp.ind.br) as local distributor of its compounded products portfolio in Brazil. The collaboration began on 1 January 2014. The arrangement will allow Albis customers to benefit from local inventory, local currency transactions as well as local technical support.

Commenting on the cooperation, Albis chief sales officer Carsten Wörner said, “We have high expectations in further expanding our business in South America and Brazil is the leading marketplace there for us; this is yet another milestone in our global sales strategy.” Albis said it would continue to supply and support its key global accounts in Brazil on a direct basis.
