Plastics recycling company Agilyx (Tigard, Oregon / USA; www.agilyx.com) has expanded its capabilities to include the production of feedstocks for the manufacture of olefins. This means that waste plastic can be recycled to produce feedstocks for crackers, and the olefins output from the crackers can in turn be used to produce virgin plastics – bringing a durable carbon cycle within commercial reach, it said.

Agilyx has developed chemical recycling pathways for waste plastics to produce various fuels and chemical substrates. It says its products have an average of 40-70% lower carbon footprint than traditional manufacturing for the same products.
